UniFi Access VLAN

When installing UniFi Access equipment you might wonder how to set it all up on a separate VLAN. I was unable to find any available documentation on ui.com.

  1. Go through the initial controller setup for UniFi Access on unifi.ui.com
  2. In the UniFi Network controller, create a dedicated VLAN for your Access hardware
  3. Create any desired firewall rules
  4. Back in the UniFi Access controller, go to Settings > Preferences > Network and select the newly-create VLAN from the dropdown
